My Training


My Training and Background

  

I graduated from nursing school at Viterbo University in Lacrosse, Wi. in 1990. I then went on to specialize in cardiac nursing in telemetry, cardiac procedures, and coronary ICU. I also worked as a cardiac rehabilitation nurse who helped people recover from heart attacks and open heart surgery by implementing diet, exercise and lifestyle changes. In addition, I have post-op recovery, dialysis and pediatric experience.

Between 2000 and 2011, I completed the professional coach training program with CoachU, Healing Touch Training with the Healing Touch Program, and Reiki Master Teacher training through the International Center for Reiki Training and the Center for Wholistic Health in Lakewood, CO.

In 2016, I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories; everything from Ayurveda, gluten-free, and Paleo, to raw, vegan, and macrobiotics, and everything in between.

My education has include trading from the world's top health and wellness experts and has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I will give you suggestions for healthy lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness.

If stress reduction, peace of mind and clarity is your focus:
Many people seek my support when they are undergoing big stress around big life changes and benefit from receiving Reiki and Healing Touch as well as learning about mediation or stress reduction techniques. For some, this is the primary reason they I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, big and small changes that transform your life over time.

  • Tools for de-stressing.  Practice meditation, guided visualization and breathing techniques that will settle down your nervous system, clear your mind, and create grounded-ness and centeredness in your life. The benefit? You will be so more effective in all areas of life
  • Why "primary food" overrides secondary food.  Primary food refers to ALL the ways in which you nourish yourself beyond your actual diet. Explore how healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, exercise and spirituality are all major ingredients for a happy, healthy life.
